On April 14, Regional Development Minister Mary-Anne Thomas visited the facility to announce a grant from the Victorian Government’s Regional Jobs Fund for Cannatrek.
Established in 2016, the Australian-owned company produces medical cannabis at its Queensland research and development greenhouse facility for over 6,000 patients.
The Greater Shepparton development will be the first production facility located outside of Queensland.
This project will enable Cannatrek to depend on locally produced cannabis from Australia rather than relying on imports.
