The third Cannabis as Medicine Survey (CAMS20) succeeds CAMS16 and CAMS18, encompassing 1,600 individuals utilizing medical cannabis between September 2020 and January 2021. The findings were recently published in the Harm Reduction Journal.
The survey discovered that 37% of participants had obtained a legal prescription for medicinal cannabis – a notable rise from the 2.5% of respondents who reported prescription usage in the 2018 version of the CAMS survey (CAMS18). Those exclusively using prescription cannabis were generally older, female, and less likely to be employed.
